ADMINISTRATION LOSES IMMIGRATION NOMINEE :
HITS THE STREETS WITH HIS "ECONOMOMIC" MESSAGE

Any incoming administration is expected to have a few teething troubles, but in President Jason "Trvthseeker" Ragan's (W) situation it's more appropriately categorised as requiring major surgery.

Less than one week into the new presidential term, the inexperienced chief executive - noted for opportunism rather than substance - fell flat
when he learned that breaking the padlock on the Titulia Territory Fund (TTF) piggy-bank was not legally possible.

From the moment the Chief Justice swore the Sixth President of the Republic into office, the new administration's economic plan was in shreds.

Putting out the call for 'submissions', the president asked the nation to come to the party .

CABINET SHAKES UP AND DOWN

Loss of immigration and public relations nominee

Controversial newcomer to the Titulian political spotlight, former Linardist presidential candidate William D. Money was the first cabinet casualty for the new administration.

Money sighted "other matters must take precedence for me at this time" as his reason for the late withdrawal. One cannot help but wonder whether the poor confirmation return led to the withdrawal of the left-wing figure from public consideration before the hammer came down on the vote's conclusion.

As at the time of writing, Money's confirmation vote stood at 12 votes for and 8 against, however the crucial Linardist bloc hardly ever excised en mas, was required to stem the tide to support an almost certain confirmation rejection.

The president has indicated he is looking for a new Minister for Immigration and Public Relations, but with many questions about the terms of reference for the role - not published by the Trvthseeker Government - it is doubtful many will come forward outside of the chief executive's inner circle.

AG nomination

One good piece of news in a rather drowned field of screw-ups for Week #1 is Ragan-nominated Attorney-General Germanicus Nero.

There who seems to be the only cabinet member pulling their weight at present, still sits a lot of concern about this new citizen's opinions on public and social issues.

RNC Chairman T. J. Norton welcomed the new Attorney-General's service despite a 'no' vote on his confirmation.

"We don't know him. How can that be personal? We just don't know what he's like, what his views are, how he would react in certain situations. When we're talking about the federal head of all law enforcement policy and action I don't believe this is a small thing. It's not like we're hiring a Recruiter or a Blog Master/Mistress", said the Chairman.

"So far, so good. He [A-G Nero] seems to be keen and making some effort but I'm keeping one eye open in his direction for now. Just because he posts a heart-warming message practically saying 'G'day I'll be the nicest dude ever' it doesn't exactly send me running to the bank yet", concluded Norton
.

RAGAN'S 'ECONOMOMIC' BLUNDER
A simple error? Or simply out of touch on the economy?

First his economic plan failed before even being sworn in and now his Plan B instils even greater fear into the business community.

On the Government officials list, President Ragan created the Economic Advisory Committee Chair role but misspelled the word 'economic' to say 'economomic'.

Titulian corporate owners who weren't greatly supportive of Ragan to begin with are becoming increasingly concerned that the president is behaving too lax when it comes to the Republic's fiscal future.

"To incorrectly spell a word is a simple mistake. But you would think to check up on it and correct it, wouldn't you? If a president is going to talk about the economy and sound like he/she knows their stuff it would help if they can at least spell the word", one corporate owner said.
