McVicker WINS 2nd Term in the Liberty House

Titulia City - Dennis McVicker just completed a first round sweep of this election period. Dispatching his opponent, John Daly, 31-22 and Reformer rounded out the final 4 votes, though he declared himself out of the election the day before any votes were cast.

Mr Vicker will be addressing the nation shortly, and has guaranteed a comprehensive and aggressive agenda over the next 30 days. Having a leader at the wheel will be something that Titulians have missed over the past 30 days. Out going President "The Teacher" has the distinction of serving two consecutive terms, but also the only president to have not logged in for an entire term. The Teacher could easily have been one of Titulia's most popular presidents, but the unexplained absence and her cabinets in ability to govern caused a executive crisis that Titulians wish not to repeat ever again.

It is rumored that Mr McVicker will issue an executive order for a constitutional convention. His proposal before the election was to assure whom ever won this election would deal specifically with this issue regarding presidential succession.

Mr Daly has not conceded at this time, but The Herald does expect some type of statement shortly. Mr Hocke has already expressed his gratitude that this election was about the issues and not a personal grudge match that many feared. This also marked the first time that a Linardist Party candidate has run for the Liberty House. Another item of note, the 57 total votes is one of the lowest totals in the Republics short history.

President McVickers win also ensures that Tom J Norton will be Vice President of the Republic. Recently Mr Norton's status as Vice President was challenged by SCUD, Titulia's infamous prosecuting attorney. The matter at this point as been turned over to Brian Negron, who at this point has not issued any type of action against Mr Norton.

As one voter mentioned, "There is allot of work ahead of us", and the Herald wishes Mr McVicker and his future cabinet well in this endeavor.
