A MAIL SERVER malfunction has replicated several Yahoo! Instant Messenger® Instant Messages (IMs) between President Dennis McVicker (LIB) and RNC Chairman T. J. Norton to the Titulia Herald's workspace in the midst of the June Republic Presidential Elections.

At first we were unaware who the messages were from. But upon examination, it was revealed that the exchanges between the two leaders (identified as 'T. J. Norton' and 'Dennis McVicker') contained intimately expressive material toward each other.

I immediately confronted Herald magnate and TMG CEO Erina Jensen with a transcript of the material.

Ms Jensen approved the story for publication, but asked for privacy at this time to allow her to discuss the matter with him [Mr Norton].

"I am not prepared to confirm or deny the content of such material for legal reasons but I will not impede the journalistic ethics of my editorial team to report on the story. As this is also a private matter for me, I ask for privacy during this time", Ms Jensen said.

This is a difficult time for the Republican stalwart due to recent accusations from Titulian Conservative editor and fellow party member Julian that Mr Norton has 'angered' him because of his recent public endorsement of President McVicker at a press gaggle at the south portico of Liberty House.

The material - in which President McVicker described his RNC rival as 'sexy' and in response Mr Norton replied to the text relay with emoticons [small, graphical facial expressions] symbolising kisses and love hearts, there were various intimate text exchanges including the sending of explicit web camera media.

It is not apparent as to whether anyone knew of the alleged affair or if the conservative movements will call for an investigation into the matter, take disciplinary action or even expel Mr Norton from the party.

We have sought comment from the Chairman and the President but both were unavailable at the time of reporting. We will remain on the story and bring it to you as it develops.
