TITULIA CITY - (Herald HQ)
In an e-mail sent to Herald Managing Director T. J. Norton, Titulia Times Editor-in-Chief MC Daddy D conveyed his congratulations to the paper on its launch. In responding to comment, Mr Norton said that ".. basically the Herald looks to aim for the same calibre of reporting as the Times".
"We want to encourage the citizens that there are two major outlets out there - the Herald and the Times - that they can turn to", Mr Norton said.
"Having a wealth of technological resources at our disposal, we certainly wouldn't have a problem working with other major outlets like the Times to bring Titulia out of the stone age, so-to-speak".
Mr Norton went on to emphasise his appreciation to the Times for helping Titulia foster a zeal for independent media and provides and opportunity for citizens to interact in a "fun" environment.
"Due to my semi-retirement from the Titulian public service - for now - it made sense to find opportunities in the private sector. I gain a lot of inspiration from the memory of the late, revered, NBC bureau chief Tim Russert. Tim made political coverage honourable again and I couldn't look to a greater giant of political and public media", Mr Norton said.
